Wait upon the Lord, the Bible says.  One of the hardest things we do, in our day, is wait for anything.  We want what we want, and we want it now.  We live among people who, because of inability to wait, have already spent their paychecks for years to come.  All around us are people, who because they weren’t willing to wait, have given up on their spouse and family and, in many cases, have gotten themselves in worse predicaments than they were in to begin with.   There is a biblical principle of delayed gratification, by which we are required to wait.  Many of the promises of God are promises that require some waiting.  Learning to patiently wait is a great lesson to learn.
