1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him (God,) because He cares for us. The King James says, “Cast your cares…” The Bible is talking about placing your worries over on the Lord. I have found that my worries are often like boomerangs and yo-yos, they just keep coming back to me. That certainly doesn’t mean that there’s anything lacking in God’s promise or provision, as given in 1Peter 5:7. It does mean, however, that I have to keep casting my worries until they remain separated from me. As I continue to take these things before the Lord and say, “Lord, You have instructed me to leave this with you, and as best I know how, I do it now,” my faith in God’s promise increases, and soon I have victory over that worry. Then, here comes something else that tempts me to worry, but it’s like eating the old proverbial elephant one bite at a time, I just start that process over, casting my worry upon the Lord.
