We are fast approaching Valentine’s Day, and the symbol for that day is the heart. We use it as a celebration of romance. The Bible has a lot to say about the heart, and one thing is, “A merry heart does good like a medicine.” As a church family, at Trinity Baptist, we think both our most serious and most light-hearted times can be spent together, as a family of faith. This Saturday evening we will have a Valentine Banquet, at which there will be a great meal and a program, with a cast of our church folks, that will surely provoke laughter. There is much to be serious about, and I trust that we are. Our hearts are grieved over many things, but we do well to find relief in God’s good medicine for the heart, laughter.
