The Bible simply says that in order to be saved, we are to believe on Christ.  It certainly can be argued that there are some specifics that are involved in believing.

As believers, we are to continue to believe, and Bible teaching has it, that we are to believe beyond just the fundamental doctrines of the faith, and that we are to develop in our discipleship as followers of Christ.

Some of the evidences of our continued belief include, the ultimate goal we have in life:  where is God in that picture?  How do we react to the happenings that we encounter?  Are we becoming less self-centered and more God-centered?

It really is more black and white than we may like to admit.  Either God is worth everything, or He’s not worth anything.   Are you a believer?
